I replaced my old router. How do I reconnect my Sensi?

If you replaced your router, changed to a new Wi-Fi network, or updated your current Wi-Fi network’s password, you’ll need to reconnect your Sensi thermostat to Wi-Fi.

To reconnect using an iOS device running iOS 10 or later, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your device is connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network that you want to connect to Sensi.
  2. Press the Menu button on the touch screen of the thermostat.
  3. Press Wi-Fi.
  4. Press “Set up a new network.”
  5. On your iOS device, open the phone Settings.
  6. Press Wi-Fi.
  7. Scroll down to “Set up a new device…” and press Sensi-XXXXX.
  8. In “Accessory Setup” press “Next.”
  9. After it has joined, press “Done.”

After completing these steps, you should be reconnected, and can now access your thermostat from the Sensi app.

Note: This process is only for reconnecting an already registered thermostat.

If you’re using an iOS device not running iOS 10 or later:

You must use the Sensi app to reconnect your thermostat to Wi-Fi. Press the + sign in the main page of the app, select your model and select “Yes, it is on the wall” and follow the in app instructions.

To reconnect using an Android device, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Sensi app.
  2. Press the + sign in the upper right hand corner.
  3. Choose your model and the option, “Yes, it is on the wall.”
  4. Press Menu.
  5. Press Wi-Fi.
  6. Press “Set up a new network.”
  7. The app will bring you to a page with several steps. Tap the “Connect my Sensi to Wi-Fi” button, and that takes you into your phone’s Wi-Fi Settings.
  8. You will see the Sensi network. Select Sensi_XXXX and “connect” to that network. The Sensi network password is the Security Code that was on the back of the Welcome Guide.
    • If you don’t have the card anymore, the Security Code is also found on the back of the thermostat face plate.
  9. Once you’ve connected, use your back button to return to the Sensi app. You can now move to the next screen.
  10. Select your home Wi-Fi network.
  11. Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network.

After completing these steps, you should be reconnected, and can now access your thermostat.
